The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) organized by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is a state board exam conducted to appoint skilled teachers for both Private and Government schools of the state. The HPTET exam is conducted twice a year i.e. June and November. Through the HPTET 2022 exam, candidates can become eligible for TGT, JBT, and LT posts.

Passed 10+2 studies or equivalent with a minimum aggregate score of 50% and holds a B.Sc. or B.Ed. or relevant Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in elementary education.
TGT (Arts)
Must have cleared 12th board exams with minimum scores of 45% and have a degree in B.com., B.A. or Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in elementary education.
TGT (Medical)
Obtain 50% marks in class 12th with a B.Sc. (Medical) or B.Ed. or Bachelor’s degree in elementary education with 50% marks.
Language Teacher
Apprentice must have a degree in Hindi or be currently enrolled in the final year of a diploma course (2 years).
Punjabi / Urdu Language Teacher
Must hold a degree in Punjabi or Urdu or currently enrolled in the final year of a diploma course (2 years).
JBT (Junior Basic Training)
Must have passed class 12th with 50% marks and a Degree/Diploma in elementary education with 50%.
